ENGLISH LANGUAGE WEEKLY PRESENTATION: Yoyo Games

SEPANG, 12 JUN 2012 – Yoyo in its simple form is an object consisting of an axle, similar to a slender spool. It is played by holding the free and of the string (usually by inserting one finger in a slip knot) allowing gravity or the force of a throw to spin the yoyo an unwind the string (similar to how a pullstring works), then allowing the yoyo’s spin to wind itself back to one’s hand.

SMK BBST has successfully polished another talent in Yoyo games. Muhammad Alif Haikal from 5ICT has been discovered his unique skills when performing his Yoyo showcase in English Talent Time Competition in April 2012.

Muhammad Alif Haikal’s Achievement:

  • He was the semi-finalist at the Central Yoyo Contest 2011, held during the Himpunan Sejuta Belia Malaysia at Putrajaya in May 2011.
  • He was also completed in Yoyo Championship 2011 at Berjaya Times Square in December 2011
  • He was finalist at the Malaysia Yoyo Open 2012 held during the just concluded Himpunan Sejuta Belia Malaysia at Putrajaya
